bronze star

I had to google ‘Bronze Star Medal’ to really understand its significance. Tim was awarded this honor from his Battalion Commander in Iraq.

According to Wikipedia…The Bronze Star Medal is a United States Armed Forces individual military decoration which may be awarded for bravery, acts of merit, or meritorious service. When awarded for bravery, it is the fourth-highest combat award of the U.S. Armed Forces and the 9th highest military award (including both combat and non -combat awards) in the order of precedence.

This medal was awarded for Meritorious Achievement (i.e. Tim doing his combat job well over a period of time). I am considerably proud of him but he was most proud of bringing all of his men home safe from the deployment.

He would prefer to keep this on the down-low but I think it is worth recognizing. Congratulations!

I’m so glad you are blogging again! I’ve really missed it. When things are too crazy over here to have a phone conversation, I can read it and catch up with you. Way to go Tim!!

I love following your family and have been with you during the entirety of the deployment. I love the new blog, but I can’t seem to subscribe to it in my google reader. Do you happen to know why that is? Do I need to delete the old blog? Just thought you might have an idea.

    Many blessings,
